Final Scan of CP Portrait

Below is a scanned image of the completed portrait of Elise, 20x16, colored pencil on Fisher 400 sanded paper.

Fabulous portrait.

Do you use solvents with cps for your backgrounds or is it all done with blending/hatching?

Thank you, Sue. I do not use solvents. In fact, if you look closely at this portrait (maybe only in real life - not the photo) you can see the "holes" due to the texture of the sanded paper. I also left visible cross-hatching, which I kind of like as it reveals the medium.

Thank you for explaining. I'm on holiday using a travel laptop so viewing the pictures as small images. Perhaps when back home I'll see the 'holes'.
